8 foot tall access gate with support frame and top bar (connects hinge post and latch post)
Access gate details:
Includes hinge side post, latch side post, two ground sleeves with set screw (patent pending) and hardware
Note on gate hardware: over the years we have upgraded the hardware and tubing used in these gates (our tubing is roughly one tubing gauge thicker than other gates of this type on the market). For example, the corners in the gate hardware are black galvanized steel (as opposed to aluminum found in most gates of this type). The hardware is also black - screws, turnbuckle assembly, cable clamps and even the support cable is black.
Access gates use the fence mesh from your fence kit (the gates are universal to all types of fencing) no fencing is included
6ft gates and taller have a bar across the top that connect the hinge side post with the latch side post for stability. Shorter gates (5 1/2ft tall and shorter) include a middle bar which is installed across the center of the gate.
Access gates use the same 1 5/8 support posts as found in our line posts. These are US made steel posts which are galvanized inside and out then black powder coated. The rest of the gate consists of the same tubular steel with the same coating and finish in a smaller 1 3/8 size.
Access gates are shipped to be installed in ground sleeves (included with each gate) like our line posts. Ground sleeves require a driving anvil tool but do not require concrete (sleeves can be installed in concrete if you prefer). A standard driving anvil tool is found here: driving anvil
Ground sleeves are driven into the ground with a sledge hammer; support posts then telescope inside the sleeves. This also makes the access gate (along with your line posts) completely removable for larger equipment access or seasonal take down.
No-climb hardware notes:
This hardware is designed to work with our no-climb fence kits. No-climb post extenders mount above the access gate; using your existing fencing, you'll continue the canopy above the access gate.
Please keep in mind that the height of the gate includes the canopy if you choose this hardware. For example, a 7 1/2 foot tall gate with no-climb hardware is 7 1/2 feet from the ground to the top of the no-climb post extender. This means that the top bar on a 7 1/2 foot no-climb gate is really closer to 6 1/2 feet from the ground (you loose some actual gate height to make space for the no-climb canopy above).
